Lion Hinnrichs was born in Hamburg in 1988 and, after graduating from high school and doing community service, began his piano studies at the "Musikhochschule Lübeck" with Prof. Konrad Elser, which he supplemented with additional studies at the "Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln" with the Alban Berg Quartet. Most recently he was a student in the class of Prof. Pascal Devoyon at the Berlin University of the Arts. Other important artistic impulses were provided by Gerald Fauth, Menachem Pressler, Konstanze Eickhorst and the Artemis Quartet, among others.

Lion Hinnrichs has won prizes at various national and international music competitions (e.g. in Melbourne, Osaka, Pörtschach, Leipzig). He was repeatedly included in the "Federal Selection of Concerts by Young Artists" (BAKJK) of the "German Music Council".

A busy concert career as a soloist and chamber musician has taken him all over Europe, to Asia and Australia and to the podiums of various international festivals. In addition to solo and chamber music recitals, he has also repeatedly appeared as a soloist with orchestras. Various radio recordings (including "SWR", "MDR-Kultur", "NDR-Kultur", "ABC Australia", "Deutschlandfunk") document his diverse artistic work.

Lion Hinnrichs is the pianist and a founding member of the internationally renowned piano trio "Trio Adorno", which has received numerous awards.
