„The young musicians are excellent in every sense!“
in every sense!

Through the aesthetics of the homogeneous string sound, which merges with the touch of the piano in an extremely coordinated symbiosis without sacrificing the contrasts of the very different types of sound of the instruments, the Trio Adorno repeatedly raises piano trio playing to a whole new level and is today considered one of the most promising and exciting ensembles of his generation.

Since its formation, the trio has won prizes at almost all major chamber music competitions, including the German Music Competition, the Osaka Chamber Music Competition, the Melbourne Chamber Music Competition, the International Johannes Brahms Competition and as a semi-finalist at the ARD Music Competition. In addition, the trio has been included several times in the "Federal Selection of Concerts by Young Artists" (BAKJK) of the German Music Council.

The trio received its shaping from many greats of chamber music and important piano trios. Her mentors, the Alban Berg Quartet and the long-standing collaboration with the Artemis Quartet were particularly formative.

For more than a decade, encounters with members of the Beaux Arts Trio, Trio Jean Paul, Trio Fontenay, Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio and the Guarneri Quartet provided stimulating impulses for her artistic work.

Their repertoire covers the entire spectrum of the piano trio literature, beginning with works by Bach, through all the important trio compositions of the Romantic era, to world premieres by contemporary composers. The trio's concerts are regularly recorded live and broadcast on the radio (BR, SWR, MDR-Kultur, NDR-Kultur, Deutschlandfunk, ABC Australia and others).

Ihre neueste Aufnahme „Im Schatten“ mit Werken von Mozart, Martinu und Mendelssohn erscheint 2022 beim Label arcantus.

Another pillar of the work of the Trio Adorno ist das weltweite Engagement in der Nachwuchs- und Jugendarbeit.

The trio has been the artistic director of the chamber music series “Freunde der Kammermusik Quickborn e.V.” since 2022, which has been organizing concerts in the best chamber music tradition for more than 60 years.

The Trio Adorno takes its name from the German music philosopher and great thinker of the 20th century Theodor W. Adorno.
